What is the proper way to thaw fish?!

Question: The best way to thaw fish is in milk. The milk draws out the frozen taste and gives the fish a fresh flavour.

Under cold running water. Or, in a fridge. It'll take about 2 or three days this way.

on a covered dish at room temperature

I vote for in the refrigerator, in milk if you have it.

hi silly ,
just do your tap water and fish/meat in a resealable plastic bag
you can add a marinade after you drain the water out !
i'm not very fond of milk and poultry or seafood prior to cooking !!
good seed for -good ol salminela ya know ?

Put the fish in a zip lock, seal, then put in a pan or bowl in the sink.

Turn the tap on to fill the bowl or pan then slow the streem until it is just dripping.

The cold water over the plastic will thaw the fish in 1/4 the time of letting it sit in the fridge and is safer then on the counter.
