the Better Homes and Garden's New Cookbook has an excellent recipe for lasagne, just substitute bulk Italian sausage for the ground beef.

After cooking, use a knife to etch an angry face on the lasagna.

Use really good products and a good recipe....>

Would anyone want to eat it if it's mean? LOL What part of the US are you from?

Fresh Pasta
Fresh minced meat
Italian sausages in small chunks
2 Good named brand canned tomatoes and 1 paste.
Fresh basil and Oregano.
Strong Provolone cheese and Asiago (grated)
A small bechamel sauce.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Make your tomato sauce with the canned tomatoes and paste, add basil and oregano and 2 cans of water. Cook on medium for 30 mins. salt and pepper to taste. a dash of sugar.
Prepare your bechamel sauce and then put aside.
Cook your meats and then put aside.
Cook your fresh pasta and then put aside.
Get an oven lasagna dish and start your layers.
tomatoe sauce at the bottom, pasta, tomato sauce, bechamel, both meats, both cheeses...repeat 4 times.

cook at 375 for at least 45 min.
Enjoy!

You might try a non traditional style.
I make an amazing lasagna with a mushroom cream sauce instead of the traditional tomato sauce.
I layer the noodles with some spinach, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese then the sauce.
Keep repeating the layers until your baking dish is full.

Add some italian sausage to your ground beef...
It's amazing

I use 1/2 gr. chuck and 1/2 bulk pork sausage. If you don't want to make a homemade sauce Classico 4 Cheese is a great start, you can add more garlic, onion and spices if you wish. Also the more cheese in a Lasagna the better. I use cottage, mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan on each layer! Everyone goes for seconds.
