How do I make chicken fettucini alfredo?!

Question: I need to take some for a potluck tonight and well... don't exactly cook that often. How many chicken breasts should I cook to serve 6 people? What should I cook it with to add flavor and keep in moisture?

Between 3-4 breasts, grill them.
Get a jar of alfredo sauce (2)
Warm in saucepan
Boil noodles ( fettucine)
Drain noodles when done cooking
Place in serving dish
Pour alfredo sauce on top
Either cut chicken into strips or shred
Mix into the sauce if shredded
Place chicken on top if Cut into strips
Add salt and pepper for flavoring

If you want a little kick (something new): Try a little Cajun seasoning, not too much, but enough!

Chicken and a lawn mower.

Well cant really help you, but its alot better if you boil the chicken first make the pasta then add the chicken. :)

The easiest way to prepare this is to just boil fettuchini noodles and drain, then add Ragu alfredo sauce. For the chicken I usually just use the canned Tyson chicken, and it's not bad, I'd say for 6 people I'd use 2 cans.

But if you want a recipe, here's a really good one

6 chicken breast boil and chop, jar of alfredo sauce and box of fettichinni noodles, good to go.

CHICKEN FETTUCCINE ALFREDO

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. olive oil
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
1/2 c. chopped green onions with tops
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. whipping cream
1 pkg. McCormick Pasta Prima Alfredo Sauce
12 oz. fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
15 oz. can tomatoes, drained and diced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
2 tbsp. dried basil
1 lb. hot, cooked fettuccine
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Heat butter and olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, green onion, and garlic; saute until chicken is lightly browned. Stir in cream, sauce mix, mushrooms, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in parsley and basil. Remove from heat. Toss pasta with sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serves 6 to 8.

- 1 lb. skinless, boned chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp. oil or favorite spray shortening
- Garlic powder
- Milk
- Butter
- 1 pkg. Alfredo sauce mix
- 1/2 lb. fettucini

Cook fettucini until tender. Cut chicken in strips or cubes. Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder. Saute in oil for 5 minutes per side until cooked through. Mix Alfredo sauce mix according to package instructions. Mix drained fettucini with cooked chicken. Pour Alfredo sauce over mixture, toss and serve.

This recipe serves at least 3, so you could double it and have leftovers.

You need about 4 breasts, or 3 big ones, for 6 people. Cut the raw chicken into cubes, heat some olive oil in a pan, and put the chicken it. Add salt, pepper, and chopped or minced garlic. Add a chopped onion and a can of drained mushrooms. Cook on medium heat, stirring to keep the chicken from getting brown. When the chicken is done adn the onion is soft, add 2 jars of alfredo sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. Pour this over your cooked fettucine and serve.

Usually, I would figure one chicken breast per person. You can use several things to add flavor, but I've found that the best thing is a little garlic and Italian seasoning. To keep in moisture, bake or saute the chicken until it is done. Baking chicken usually takes 30-45 minutes at 400 degrees. You know it is done when the chicken is no longer pink on the inside and the juices run clear. For the alfredo sauce, I like Five Brothers or Bertolli alfredo sauce.

Cut up the chicken, 3-4 boneless skinless breast halves, add it to the pasta pot for the last 5-7 minutes of cooking time. Add 1/4c butter & 1/4 flour to a saucepan on medium heat, whisk together, add 3-4c milk, whisk til thickened, add 1-2c shredded (not from a can!) parmesan cheese, a tiny pinch of nutmeg, and salt & pepper. Pour over drained pasta & chicken. I add broccoli too, and sprinkle it with more cheese before you serve it!
