1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
DIRECTIONS
Prepare cake mix as directed, except substitute egg whites for eggs and applesauce for oil. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan as directed. Pour pineapple over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Cool.
To make the frosting: Prepare instant pudding as directed. Fold in whipped topping. Let sit 10 minutes. Spread over cake.
Answers: I'm assuming it does since it has whipped cream on top, but I just wanted to make sure, Im making it in the morning. Thanks!

I would definatly refrigerate it, but take it out of the fridge 1 hour before serving, it will taste better at room temperature.
I would.
Yup! It sure does.
The pineapple isn't baked in, which means it will still be gooey and runny - a great place for bacteria to breed!
The whipped topping is milk based and will spoil very very quickly if not refridgerated.
Treat it as if it was cut up, fresh fruit and fresh milk.
HTH
i make different cakes for my family and yes i would other wise the whipped cream will melt of the cake. let me just say this if your icing says it needs to be in the refridgerater then you proable should put the cake in the refridgerater after icing it.
