1 1/2 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
Split and cut sausage into small pieces. Fry with onion until brown; add water, rice, and onion soup. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on low flame for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Shrimp can be substituted for sausage.

Sour kraut, skinned and quartered boiled potatoes with melted butter and lots of dried parsley in the butter. YUMMY
pierogis
Wash and cut into cubes:
potatoes (red are best, but any will do)--as many as you have people to serve
1 onion
In a skillet, heat few tablespoons vegetable oil. Add potatoes and onions and begin frying--putting lid on tightly will accelerate cooking. Meanwhile, chop kielbasa into chunks. Throw these in with veggies. Stir often, and remove when all is cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste. The juices from the kielbasa will season the rest. Really good and hearty eating!
Wash up some potatoes and slice them thin. Place them in a frying pan with some onions and if you have any zucchini or green/red/yellow peppers along with some oil. Saute until onions are translucent and potatoes are done. Add Kielbasa and a little broth if necessary. My son loves this.
You can grill it or pan fry it and serve with a baked potato, ready made hash browns, potato salad, or cut it up into pieces and put it in with some baked beans or:
In a Cabbage and Potato Casserole. Fry it up and put it in with sliced potatoes, sliced onions and sliced cabbage topped with cheese. Add some beef broth to the dish and bake at 350 for 1 hr or until potatoes are done and cheese is melted. so good!
Mac and cheese is also good and quick and easy to serve with this.
I also have a good recipe that I just made last week. It calls for tomatoes, zucchini and yellow squash, onions and garlic, and the sausage, of course Oh my--that was good. If you want it, just write for specifics.
You could chop it into chunks.. about the size if meatballs...and add it to spaghetti sauce. I have used this in place of meatballs many times.. I usually use the crockpot, but anyway would be fine. You could have spaghetti or even use them on a sub roll instead of meatball subs. Make a fresh garden salad and yer good to go. Good luck!!
fried taters and sauerkraut yummy!!!
