Ok, this may sound stupid but....can you add syrup to pancake batter so you don't have all the sticky mess?!
Answers: This may sound harsh but NO you cant. you can sweeten them a bit more with a couple tbsp of sugar but it will alter the chemical and cooking process of the pancakes. My suggestion is to give your kids a non runny topping, like nutella, or put chocolate chips through the batter to sweeten it. Also, if you drizzle a little bit on the pancake and spread it with a knife it wont go all over the place and just soak in.
of course you can.. :-)
yes you can
I am going to say no. It will probably not cook up very well unless you have an exact recipe for it. I think that the commercial preparations that taste like that are made with little bits of artifical maple stuff. I haven't been able to figure it out yet. You might possibly be able to pull it off if you use sugar free syrup, because the sugar content of the regular will no doubt cause the cakes to burn when you cook them.
yes it still tastes good too also try chocolate chips yummy my favorite and powder sugar
maybe but it would change the nature of the batter and would fry differently, the syrup part wouldn't fry at all. you could flavor the batter with maple flavor.
yep. that's exactly what i do. lessen the water a bit though or you'll have runny batter
I wouldn't recommend it.
The sugar in the syrup will burn on the griddle, making your pancakes smoke and ruining the fluffiness and the taste.
Regular pancakes with syrup are certainly a bit messy, but adding the syrup too early will make a bigger mess.
yes. won't taste as good, but yes.
instead you might to make the pancake batter as directed, place in small cake pans, or casseroles, and microwave till not raw in the middle. eat with butter, or if the sides of the casserole are high enough, put the syrup on the "little pancake". no mess.
You can add syrup to the batter, but it will disappear into it and just make the batter very sweet. The texture of the pancake will remain but the fun is in the syrup topping and a little sliced banana or strawberries or blueberries makes this treat worthwhile. Give everyone a wet nap to wipe their hands after their pancakes.
Jimmy Dean does. He has sausage with pancakes wrapped around them on a stick. Just pop into the microwave and eat. The syrup in already in the batter. If you want to try them, they come in a BIG box of 24 each. I keep them in the freezer and take one out for breakfast or lunch. I love them.
(Oooooop, I see you want it for children. Sticks are not good for children.)
By the way, have you tried Pillsbury's frozen pancakes? Keep in the freezer and pull them out when you want pancakes. Microwave. Delicious.
Pillsbury also has frozen pre-cooked biscuits that are so very good. Again.....another microwave goody.
I love all the foods that are coming on the market now.
