The fillings of a pie, what do your use?!

Question: Have you used left overs from previous meals.

Answers: Have you used left overs from previous meals.

I like mince meat pie. That is good anytime. I'll use leftovers and chop it up add some spices.

I make dessert pies all year and meat pies at Christmas. I did use leftover turkey and veggies once to make a single crust deep dish pie.

I like to use mixed berry filling for a special pie. usually strawberry, blackberry and blueberry. You of course could use any combination but these three work together very well, or substitute rasberry for the one you don't care for. meat pies that contain cubed beef, onions; cubed potatoes, peas and carrots are really good too.If you like rutabagos these work well in a meat pie in place of the potatoes. enjoy!

Nothing beats apple pie for me. I also like buko pie, the filling is made of young coconut and custard.
