you dont need baking powder

put 1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
3tsp sugar
1 pinch salt
and mix together with a whisk so there arent any lumps.
if you dont have a whisk a fork can work.
then pour into a frying pan thats been had lots of melted butter in it
flip it with a spatchula
serve when golden/brown
put your choice of toppings!
my fave is cinnamon sugar.
good luck and dont burn them or yourself!

yeah you kinda need baking powder, that's what makes pancakes fluffy...
but if you need recipes go to foodnetwork.com
alton brown has some good ones, cooks.com, and allrecipes.com

1 1/4 c flour
1 egg
1 1/4 c milk
1 1/4 t vinegar
2 t baking soda
1/4 c oil
pinch salt

In a blender add all ingreadients. MIx on high speed for 1 min. Now you have yummy buttermilk pancake batter
Oh if you have buttermilk use 1 1/4 c and leave out the milk and vinegar. These are so so yummy. ENJOY

Once you've got a recipe, a splash of 7UP is a good "secret ingredient."

TJ's is a good recipe however I would change it in one way
Seperate the egg into white and yoke first. Mix up her ingredients with the Egg yolk.
Then whisk the egg white and then fold it into the pancake mix
that way your pancakes will be more fluffy with out the need for baking powder

As an accompaniment to the pancakes you might like to slice up say 10 strawberries, 15 if they are small. ( that will go with 3-4 pancakes so vary depending on pancake quantity)

Then in a small sauce pan put 1 heaped tablespoon of sugar plus half a table spoon of water, put on a very low heat for a minute stirring. Add in the strawberries and let them simmer on a very low heat for 3 minutes stirring them around making sure all the sugar has disolved. After 3 mins turn the heat off put a lid on the saucepan. Cook your pancakes then plate them up. Last thing pour the strawberry & syrup mixture on top and ENJOY!
You can add a scoop of good vanilla icecream if you really want something special
