Can you microwave defrosted food?!
Thank you
Answers: I have purchased a frozen Steam and Serve Pasta dish that can be cooked in the microwave. But the problem is at work we do not have a freezer to keep it frozen so i was thinking could i keep in in our refrigerator from 8am-12.30pm and let it defrost then microwave it on my lunch. I am not sure what to do as it does say microwave from frozen on the packet and it has chicken in it so i want to be sure it is cooked right?
Thank you
If you want to keep it frozen then just wrap it in an old newspaper which will insulate it or buy a freezer gel bag that you keep in your freezer for whenever you're bringing lunch... they keep your salads crispy, too. Heck, I think they are only a buck or two max...good investment. And yes it will take a lot less time if its thawed - no problem but you should stir it first to mix the sauce since it won't take more than 2 or 3 minutes Those things are almost completely pre cooked.
It should be ok. I can't tell you how lng to cook it for but the time will probably be a little less. If you cook it as directed the worst that can happen is it could dry out a bit.
In the amount of time you describe it probably be partly frozen still.
yes there fine like that! my mum accedently put one in the fridge and cooked it and it was ok and yum...
Microwave it for a minute. THEN check it. If its still cold or frozen microwave it for another minute or so.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!
