Hello everyone i am looking for what you think the best cut of meat to make a roast in a crock pot.?!
Answers: I usually cook 5 to 6 pounds of a bottom round. Any extra tip will be greatly appreciated or any new ideas for recipes
I love chuck roast in a crock pot. I usually lay 3-4 celery stalks on the bottom of the crock pot then place the roast on the celery, dump in a small bag of baby carrots and pour in 1 or 2 cans of beef broth and cook it on low all day. I use the broth to make a tasty gravy when it's time for dinner.
personally I really like the plain ol' chuck roast in the crock pot. It always comes out so tender and full of flavor. Even if it is the cheapest roast...lol
Top round or chuck roast. Check your crock pot's instructions for setting and minutes per pound.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Yes, that is my real last name!
Since a crock pot cooks so long you might consider using a tough piece of meat, like a chuck steak or small chuck roast. I use it all the time and I add a can of tomaotes which tenderizes the meat.
I buy chuck roast for making in the crockpot..Because it cooks long & low, you cn get by with a cheaper cut of meat..
