Can a soup made with a small amount of sour cream be frozen and reheated successfully?!

Question: ...or will it curdle? The amount of sour cream is only 1/2 cup for a recipe that makes 10 servings, but that is just too much soup to ruin!

If you feel pretty sure about this one way or the other, I'd love to hear from you--please don't just guess.Thank you very much!

Yes< I have done this before.

You are better off to freeze it and then add the sour cream when you heat it up. It will separate.

It should be ok. I have done with my mashed potato soup. Because it has been blended with other ingredients, it does not suffer much as far a curdling or separating. Be gentle in the reheating process as with any milk.

yes
