Cooking Frozen Crispy Potatoes?!

Question: Hello, I've found some Frozen potatoes the wife bought in the freezer, last time i cooked them they were not crispy at all. Just dull and lifeless.

Does anyone know how to cook these frozen potatoes so they are crispy on the outside, but soft in the middle.

Cooking instructions say 20 mins, but last time this was nowhere near enough

Any ideas?.

make sure to pre-heat the oven long enough to reach recommended temperature...dont let the potatoes thaw out at all before cooking and you might need to dust off any ice that might be on the frozen potatoes so they bake not boil. Make sure you use a large enough baking sheet so the potatoes are not crowded together.

cook in the oven until golden brown. About 30-40 mins id say

Cook them like roasters, heat a little bit of oil in a pan in the oven then pour them into the hot oil.

Usually they need to go in a very hot oven. If you put them in before the ovengot up to temperature they won't be cooked or will be soggy.

Keep cooking them until you like how they are done... They will be hard to burn if you keep checking on them in the oven. Just because the package says 20 minutes it may not be enough, all ovens are different.

I use my baking stone to cook those. I actually heat the baking stone in the oven while the oven is on, when it is to the temp that the directions state, I add the frozen potatoes. Sometimes I will increase the temp by 25 degrees. I love them extra crunchy on the outside, but still tender inside. Hope that help you out.

well you could deep fry them in hot oil or put them in a hot oven for longer time than you did before. preheat oven for 10 minutes then put them in. turn over half way through cooking time. i would suggest cook them at least 30 minutes so 15 minutes in turn them over. i put a little salt on mine before putting in the oven.. it makes them brown better. so just an idea you might want to sprinkle a little salt before placing in the oven...good luck

well you need to use one of those baking trays with holes in it and cook at a higher heat than stated for around 30 mins

I just keep checking them. When they turn golden brown they are done.
