Can anyone help me with Chocolate-Covered Strawberries?!
I used the regular chocolate and then drizzled white on top to make them pretty. Saturday, I used a fork to drizzle since that was a tip I read somewhere. Last night, I knew the fork took too long so I filled a baggie with white chocolate and pierced it. This was MUCH easier but the baggie did not hold up to being sqeezed and after a few minutes, there were holes in the seams on the edge.
Do anyone know an easy way to drizzle the white chocolate? I am not great or even good in the kitchen and I really don't know what other options I may have.
Thanks so much!
Answers: I made chocolate covered strawberries for a party I attended last weekend. Everyone loved them. I was telling a coworker about it and she wanted some. So last night, I made some for the office to enjoy today.

like everyone has suggested - just use a heavier quality bag. I use sandwich bags to fill deviled eggs too (works GREAT). using a fork is the generally accepted method, but using a bag is sometimes so much quicker and easier.
another suggestion might be to make a slightly larger hole so it doesn't take so much pressure to squeeze the chocolate out of the bag - hence less chance of busting a seam.....
they sell frosting tips and bags and kits. that would stand up much better to more freuquent usage.
also, a heavier duty plastic bag would work also...
The baggie idea is a good one. Try using a more expensive baggie, one that is more durable.
This is my way for choc. dipped strawberries.....
The best and easiest way is go to Walmart and buy a little tub full of chocolate pieces. It is in the baking section in a styrofoam container. I can't remember the brand name but it is brown and red and has a chocolate dipped strawberry on it. You microwave it for a couple mins (taking it out to stir every 30 sec) and then dip the strawberries in it. You must dry the strawberries first. Lay them on wax paper and put in the fridge or leave on the counter to harden.
It works great for me everytime!
Oh and they have milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate kinds.
I just put them on the counter and drizzle with a spoon.
put a cocktail stick in a strawberry in at the stalk
dip them in melted white choc
once hardened place in fridge for an hour to harden
take em out, dip each side in milk choc so they form a V on the front
take a small brush and paint on with the milk choc 2 buttons and a bow tie
they look like tuxedo's
they are amazing
and so i dont get a flat bottom on them i stick the cocktail sticks into bananas to hold em while they harden

I would use a decorating bag...you can go in teh cake decorating section at like wal-mart (int he crafts section not food section) or at Micheals or JoAnns and get either disposable decorating bags or the reusable ones....I like the dispoable ones better...(hate clean up)
then just snip the end of the bag with sciscors (very small snip) and drizzle the chocolate...or you can get round decorating tips for a more 'round', "peice of string' look...
some other things you can do to decorate them is color the white chocolate a diff color, to go with the season....make them look like tuxedos, sprinkle crushed nuts, coconut, or crushed candies on them (chocolate shavings, peppermint, etc)
