I always make cake cookies they are simple and really good

1 box of vanilla cake
2 eggs
1/4 cup of oil
Mix these together and then put them on a cookie sheet in the oven @ 350* for about 8 to ten minutes

Frosting
3 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon warm milk
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mash cheese with milk. Add sugar, gradually, and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Any other desired flavoring may be substituted for the vanilla

This is what I use, hope it helps

I've always used the Betty Crocker cookie recipe

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg
2 1/2 cups Gold Medal? all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Granulated sugar or colored sugar

1. Mix powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, almond extract and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
2. Heat oven to 375oF. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
3. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes with 2- to 2 1/2-inch cookie cutters. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet.
4. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until edges are light brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

for frosting:
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. ready made vanilla frosting

beat whipping cream in a cold bowl using electric mixer on high until soft peaks form. blend the frosting in gently then spread on cookies

The very best sugar cookie recipe is.......

a cake mix!!
omit the water in the recipe on the box . using a white cake mix, or french vanilla they only cost around a $1.50.

for the icing use about 3cups of powered sugar and just a drop of vanilla extract, and about 1/3 cup of water..the more you mix it the fluffier the icing will get, using a mixer is best for the icing...(for color you can use a drop of your fav. food coloring)

MY FAMILY LOVES THESE COOKIES!!

hope this helps!
