Some Spanish rice or mexicorn would be good, and maybe a good crusty loaf of French bread--that's ALWAYS great with salad.

seems like a complete meal in and of itself. Maybe quesadillas on the side or a fresh fruit course.

Diced potateos

Like the fiesta potateos from taco bell

Really nothing but if you insist potatoes or corn or just have fruits afterwards.

TACOS...lol

West Texan here.

A real taco salad does not need sides. You might want to serve chips with salsa before you serve the salad. We like Pase best. It is made by a Texan. :o)

A true taco salad is stacked like this:
Taco shell in a bowl or plate,
Refried pinto beans on the bottom ,
Meat comes next,
Pile high with tossed salad,
Sprinkle salsa over salad,
Some people like sour cream over the salsa (people from Mexico and West Texas do not use sour cream as a rule)

Enjoy your dinner.

Darlin,
If U have to have a side dish w/ a Taco Salad...which is pretty much a meal in it self...Try Spanish Rice. Good Luck!!!

I'll eat refried beans with anything.

******GUACAMOLE

Ingredients:
? 3 ripe avocados, peeled and mashed
? 1 can (10 oz.) RO*TEL Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
? 1 medium onion, chopped
? dash of hot pepper sauce
? 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
? 2 tablespoons lemon juice
? salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Once combine leave seed in to insure the avocados will stay green. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Makes about 1 quart dip.

Side dishes are served to give you more of your servings from the food pyramid. A taco salad already has all that you need and is a whole meal by itself. Plus it tastes terriffic! =)

u can have rice or beans with it. idk it is a full course meal. everything u need is in it. so just chill. make it bigger if u want. DO NOT ADD A SINGLE THING TO THIS MEAL.

a mexican soup would be nice

can of gourmet Le Seur baby carrots

I think something like fresh fruit would be good and a nice contrast to the spicy salad.
