What kind of fish is good to eat other than salmon?!

Question: that you do not have to fry. I do not like tuna.

Answers: that you do not have to fry. I do not like tuna.

Perch is really good and since you don't like tuna it doesn't have a fishy taste to it, mild and very yummy and good for you, have 2 different kinds, lake Perch, and Ocean Perch. both are really good drizzled with a little lemon juice and garlic and baked in the oven they wont take that long because they are small pieces of fish. you can also broil perch.

SHARK is really good too! mmmmmmmmmm....

Any fatty fish can be baked. Trout, whitefish etc..

tuna, perch, walleye, mahi mahi, orange roughy, are great ! Don't eat larger fish often cause of the mercury the smaller the fish the less mercury

Telapia, Halibut and Orange Ruffy are my favorite fish.

many people squirm ,when someone mentions carp or catfish but really they are very delicious and can be prepared in hundreds of way's ,

Tilipia is a great fish for grilling or baking or broiling. Make a paste of honey, garlic, salt, pepper and lemon juice, spread on while grilling and/or before broiling or baking and Yum!

Caution: It's a thin fish so it doesn't take long to cook!

Sea Fish woudl be Sword fish, Shark, Talapia, Red Snapper, and Grouper.

Freshwater fish would be Perch, Crappie, Walleye and Catfished if cook correctly

All these fish can be baked, broiled nad some of the tougher fish can be grilled like Sordfish and Shark.

Grilled talapia w/ fresh mango salsa....mmmm

tilapia fillets - some salt, pepper or garlic salt, olive oil, pan fried! served with fried rice and veggies - delish!

catfish fillets are good too!

also deep fried whole carp - yummy-O!

my favourite is haddock, which can be baked or poached

Bass.

Tiplapia filets are really good.

shark , hek and white fish

I don't cook fish in the house - it smells:) I cook fish on the BBQ : besides salmon, I like shark, swordfish and halibut. The nice, firm fish are the best BBQ'd (and don't taste "fishy")

I like the Orange Roughy , and Mahi Mahi the best but every time I go to the grocery store the prices just seem to go up higher on seafood...

Hi!! I love fresh halibut, it's soft, buttery ans soaks up any flavors you add to it. I keep it really simple and add some pepper, garlic, and a squeeze of lemon, I do a really fast little sear on the outside and then bake it at 350 for about 8 minutes. You want it to flake off and no longer be translucent, sauté some asparagus, and make some sweet potato mashed potatoes and you have an amazing meal!! Good Luck and Happy Feasting!!!

It depends on where you are, and what is available but flat fish like sole or flounder are nice, so is cod, trout and most others.
Fillets can be cooked in minutes in the microwave.
Fish pie is an alternative.
Steaming is another alternative to frying.
Most shops that sell fish will also be able to advise you about what is particularly good to eat.

Pomphry flat 1.5 " and circular fish
very tasty

Flounder
Whiting
Blue fish
Red snapper
Cat fish

The list is too long to type here, go to this link and scroll way down the screen:

My hubby and I like:
Orange roughy
Tilapia
Trout
Cod

I usually cook fish in foil.
Put butter or vegetable oil on foil, then the fish, salt & pepper, put sliced onion on top, close up foil, and cook on an in-house counter grill for about 30 minutes.

Im a picky fish eater,I really dont like my fish to taste fishy,LOL
so I prefer the milder stuff,Sole, halibut orange roughy.these conform well to most cooking methods,I like to bake them or grill these in tin foil packs (with lemon slices and onion,a little white wine.)You can make good fish stews with these also.

for fresh water fish I like catfish and trout both of these grill well (use foil and indirect heat) cat fish holds up well for stews, and if you ever give in to frying there is nothing better than deep fried catfish nuggets.

trout is a more delicate fish and needs lighter cooking methods like poaching to bring out its best flavors.baking it whole works well as long as you have plenty of liquid as it dries out and is nasty if cooked too long.
I like trout best cold and can be used like tuna in cold salads .
since trout is something we can catch here in the streams and lakes I have to confess Ive never eaten store bought so that may make a difference in taste, but they are very yummy.
any way good luck,
peace><>

tilapia and tuna are good for people who like strong tasting , common (cheaper) fish. whitefish and cod are good for people who like weaker, common tasting fish.
