Appetizer ideas...quick!!!?!

Question: so..
we're planning a very last minute 50th b-day party for my mom for friday night. The only time I have to go grocery shopping is tonight. We want to have a 'hearty' appetizer buffet for about 10 people (with cake afterwards). IT's going to be like dinner, but all appetizers.
So far we have: garlic-soy chicken legs, shrimp cocktail, mushroom/onion canapes, scrape (that's a creamcheese and cocktail sauce dip cause my mom can't eat shrimp, but she likes the sauce).....no store bought ideas..I can't get to BJ's or Sam's club or anything...
Just like, 2 more really yummy finger foods would be awesome..
also, do you think a tomato and cheese baked macaroni would be good too? or is that ruining the app. theme?
Thanks!!

In your mixing bowl combine
1 pound of ground sausage-your choice
2 cups of grated cheese again your choice
1 cup of Bisquick
mix and roll into golf ball size "bites"
Freeze on a cookie sheet and store in a zip lock type bag.
When needed bake frozen bites in a 400 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes.
(add in could be onion, pepper flakes, etc)

Next, Take won-ton wrappers and put a teaspoon of crab meat stuffing in the center(I buy one or two crab cakes at the publix seafood counter) .
Paint two adjoining edges with water and fold over into a triangle. Fry in oil until puffy and crisp. Serve with Duck Sauce. I call these "Crab Traps".

Take 7" flour tortillas and cut into quarters. it will look like 4 little pie slices.
Then fry them in oil until light and very puffy.
Drain and then line them up on a cookie sheet and dot with a little salsa, cheese, onion, black olives, whatever, and bake @ 375 for about 6-7 minutes. Serve with Sour Cream.

If you like tex-mex, you can slice sweet potatoes 1/4 inch thick and lay them on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with lemon juice, a slice of jalapeno pepper and some cheese.

Bake at 400 degree about 20 minutes, cool a minute and serve with salsa.

Feel free to improvise.

I'm getting hungry.

The final, and I have this one published.
"Spanish Points"
in a blender or food processor cream
8oz cream cheese,
4 oz chopped jalapeno peppers
2 sacllions
2 tblspoons sour cream
some cilantro.
Spread this on flour tortillas, cover with another tortilla and slice like a pizza into 8 parts.
One bag of 10-10" flour tortillas will make 5 rounds and 40 appetizers. Serve with salsa, but it is not vital, they are good by themsleves, soft, creamy and spicy.

English muffin slices with shredded swiss cheese, a little mayo, a little minced onion. Layer that on the muffins and cook at 375 until toasty. You can also add pepperoni on top if you want. Easy and delicious.

Bacon wrapped scallops --they are sooo easy. Wrap each in a piece of bacon, sprinkle them with brown sugar, and put the broiler for a few minutes (like 5-7). They are awesome!

I also like the bread bowl dips.

How about small subsandwiches, or mini burgers-salmon, beef, soy..., quesadillas or great too, kabobs you can have a variety of fruits, veggies, meat, or even choc. fruit kabobs., turnovers, egg rolls.

you can do those meatballs in the ketchup tasting sauce...with little toothpics, artichoke dip, devilled eggs, veggie tray

crackers and cheese
chips and salsa
chips and dip
crackers and dip
veggie tray
fruit tray
meat tray
salad

Here's something that we like here that you may not have heard of.
Cheese Rolls.
Spread sandwich bread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and fold into 3.
Place under a heated grill, and toast turning when the first side is done. Spread with butter on the top and serve.
Options; add some spring onions, chives or garlic chives, spread bread with butter and vegemite, or make with cold mince.
Options; To toast, use a sandwich press, George Foreman Grill etc.

Mouse Traps.
Toast 6 slices of bread
Sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and cut into fingers.
Bake in a slow oven for 30-45 minutes until crunchy.
Store in an airtight container.
Vegemite under the cheese tastes nice and sweet.
Bacon sprinkles could also be added.

spinach dip, hot artichoke dip, bacon wrapped scallops, salami with cream cheese, pinwheels (tortillas smeared with cream cheese, olives, cheese, and ham, turkey, or other meats rolled like an open burrito and sliced to see the pretty insides), chicken or beef satay, meatballs. don't forget veggie and fruit platters.

these are great! serve with salsa, and they are a great finger food but very filling. My daughter calls them mini taco salads when we serve them with shredded lettuce on the side.

Well, you can put out a plate with cheese and bread, its a great filler...

You can make begger purses: Mushrooms, ground meat, carmelized onions, neatly placed in a thin pastry dough....

You can make a pasta salad: three color pasta, onions, garlic, olive oil, olives, mayonaise, salt and pepper...

A veggie platter is always nice: broccoli, carrots, celery, etc...

Fingling potatoes in a garlic butter sauce...

Veggie rolls/Meat rolls- Tortia shells, thin sliced ham/turkey/beef-if meat, cream cheese, sour cream, cheese, broccoli, shredded carrots, onions....

Hopefully this will help you out...Good luck!!

hot wings.
veg. tray.
fruit tray

Cheese ball
veggies and dip

Stick with appetizers!

Lil Smokies

2 packages of Lil smokies
1 jar of currant jelly
1 small bottle of yellow mustard

Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour, stir and turn crock pot down to low to keep warm. Serve with tooth picks.

Vegetable Platter

Serve ranch dip in a red bell pepper cup....cut off the top of bell pepper clean out seeds and ribs and fill with ranch dip. Place in the center of a pretty platter and pile fresh broccoli, carrots, celery, and cherry tomatoes around pepper.
Your guest will be impressed by the presentation.

The grocery stores can make appetiser trays for you. They are pretty and very delicious. Order early.

smoked salmon on brown bread i use that sometimes

Take cocktail rye bread. Make a mixture of softened cream cheese, dill weed, onion salt, garlic powder and whatever other spices you like. Smear it on the bread. Slice a seedless cucumber and place one or two pieces on top. Sprinkle with dill weed. These are really good and go fast!

1 bag of frozen meatballs
1 small jar of grape jelly
1 jar of chili sauce - it should be by the cocktail sauce in the store.

Throw it all on a crock pot until heated through. I eve put in some dried onion for a different flavor. You could even use those little cocktail weinies instead of meatballs.

Deviled eggs are always a hit. Try them with Tuna too. Just blend up some Tuna with the mayo to make it smooth and fill the egg white with it. Decorate with a slice of sweet pickle.
