start yeast from the start again, this yeast that has been sitting in a glass is probably 'dead'

Cinnamon Loaf

Combine together
1/2 cup melted butter....not hot
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs
1 pkg granulated yeast softened in 1/2 cup lukewarm water....that is about the temp for a baby bottle.
add 2 cups of milk, but do not reheat it,,,room temp is good.
But...
you need to alternate it with 7 cups of flour

after you have all this mixed together
knead on a floured surface...if you are a kneader you will know when it is ready,
if you are new at kneading you roll the dough away from you in a kind pushing motionl the dough is not going to like being manhandled.
push away. turn, flip in half push away from you
keep counter floured well and knead 8 to 10 minutes.
Let rise in greased bowl til doubles
punch down
divide dough and roll
brush with butter
sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
roll as for jelly roll
place in greased 61/2 x10 1/2 pan
let rise til double
bake 350 45 min
when comes out of the oven brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
slice and serve
i hope you like these
