Im assuming you ve been given a terra cotta roasting dish.these are nice.and so easy.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Take three or four large bulbs (depending on the size of your dish and cut the tips off exposing the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil then shake salt and pepper over them.
Place in oven at 350 degrees and bake for twenty minutes.
remove from oven, give them a squeeze to make sure they are soft, the garlic should come out of their wrappers(skins ) in a paste form.
I love roasted garlics.I dont have a roasting dish but I can get good results by wrapping loosely in tin foil .
good luck

Garlic Roaster

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slice about 1/2-inch (2cm) of the top of the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Peal off the outer layer or two of skin. (This will depend greatly on the head of garlic that you start with).

Coat the garlic with the olive oil and place in a very small baking dish (or a garlic roaster), cut side up. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and the cloves feel tender to the touch.

Cool for at least 1 hour, untill room temperature.

When cool, carefully separate the cloves, removing all but one or two layers of skin, and arrange on an attractive serving dish.

cut the whole bulb on top ...enough to expose just part of the cloves....maybe 1/2 inch or less.
preheat oven to 350, drizzle olive oil over the top ot the garlic (the part with the top cut off)
bake for 1/2 hr, in roaster, garlic will be much more mild than raw garlic...take a clove or two, remove the papery outside, spread on bread...yum!

pre-heat oven to 200-225 degrees
wrap a head of garlic w/aluminum foil
drizzle 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil on garlic
place in oven
throw away roaster
