Well the previous answer was good, however we don't know how many people you are serving. Just your family? or business associates or? A casserole works good most of the time because you can prepare it early, then just put in the oven, most cook in 30-50 minutes and you can add a salad, desert, bread or whatever and have a well balanced meal that only takes a few minutes. the link below will take you to a sight with lots of recipe ideas. Thanks for the great question ma

mmm when I am hungry and need something quick...
I usually take a couple tortilla's and put shredded cheddar and colby cheese in the middle..and grill it... instant quesadilla!
YUMMMMMMM
better yet...serve it with some salsa or sour cream!

Here's something wonderful...take a half pound or less of ground meat, brown it, drain and set aside. Make up a box of macaroni and cheese according to the package directions. Add the meat, stir well, add a tablespoon of milk and a tablespoon of butter, mix well....Cheeseburger Macaroni without the box!

-Chicken and rice
-Tacos
-Homemade soup (just put a bunch of stuff in a crock pot and let it cook all day)
-Frozen food (like pasta mixes, etc.)

Pasta is quick and easy. You can add hamburger, smoked sausage, onions and some bottled marinara sauce or whatever sauce you prefer. Throw in some mushrooms and make sure the pasta's boiled. Have the sauce on the side and pour over pasta when you're ready to serve. Have garlic bread and salad for the sides.

CHEESE ON TOAST WITH WORCESTER SAUCE ON IT AND SLICED FRESH TOMATOES AND A GLASS OF WINE. BETTER THAN PIZZAS GOOD LUCK

think about cooking a roast chicken w/ 3 of your favorite herbs and some olive oil, grab a bag of baby potatoes and you can roast the potatoes in the same pan as the chicken. the best way to know when the chicken is done is by sticking a thermometer in the thickest part usually the breast and you want read of 160F and it will be done.

Define "quick".

'Cause to my mom, 'quick' is 45min for dinner, for me it's 30min, and for my older brother its five (he uses the microwave alot).

Might I suggest the Food Network's site: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/lf_quick...

or, depending on your area, you could use Supper Solutions and take all the credit for cooking when all you did was put it in the oven: http://www.suppersolutionsinc.com/

...and on that note, there's always frozen pizza... not to mention all sorts of ready-made stuff from M&M's, Loblaws and Sobey's. Full dinners too, not just TV tray dinners.

Good luck. :-)

2 super easy and tasty recipes. I make a healthy version, but you can use white flour pasta and butter if you want. All ingredients are approximate guesstimates, to be honest I usually cook for myself, so I'm not sure the exact amount of each ingredients, but the dishes are so simple, you can probably just eye it.

2tbl. of olive oil
2-4 cloves of chopped garlic(depends on your garlic preference)
1/2 sweet onion chopped
A package of mushrooms (preferably crimini)
2 cups Whole wheat rotelli (Spiral pasta)
jar of marinara ( I like ones that are tomato and basil flavored)
around a 1/4 cup of grated parmesan
Few sprigs of fresh basil
Kalamata olives each one cut in half

Sautee Onions and mushrooms in olive oil, once the onions become transparent add garlic and olives. Sautee for a minute or so. Stir in Marinara, cook until everything is warm and good. Then add in your parmesan, stirring so that it melts into the mixture.

Cook the pasta, according to the directions. Drain and mix the Marinara mixture in with the pasta.Garnish with a little grated parmesan and a sprig or 2 of basil leaf.

Accompany this dish with a salad.
Lettuce
Olives
Tomato
grated parmesan
Oil and Vinegar

Another pasta recipe:

Olive oil
2 tomatoes
Kalmata Olives sliced in half
Artichoke hearts, non-pickled if possible
2-4 cloves of chopped or crushed garlic
Whole Wheat penne or rotelli pasta
Store bought pesto
Parmesan grated

sautee Tomato, olives and garlic in olive oil, until fully cooked, but not mushy.

Cook whole wheat pasta. Drain and mix veggies in with a package of pre-made pesto ( I like the Trader Joe's one)
Garnish with a little grated parmesan.

This is great as a side dish to a nice broiled piece of salmon. Cook the salmon with sliced lemons on top, and serve....

ugh, i love this recipe, and it can be really nifty for having dinner parties too!

i cut up some veggies and stuff.. like onions, bell peppers, garlic, ginger.. anything really..

and then i take a thawed chicken breast and lay it on some aluminum foil and sometimes i use a liquid .. like italian dressing... or gourmet salsa.. and lay that on top.. and throw your veggies or whatever you want on top and make a little packet with the foil and throw it in the over on a baking rack for like thirty min on 375.

if youre having company.. just cut up alot of stuff and leave alot of sauces out that way they can be involved in making dinner.. just let them pick out the chicken breast they want.. and they can make their own kind of chicken!

its soooo easy to clean up after.

maybe make some rice or noodles for a side

serve with a salad..

yummmm

Pasta with a simple tomato sauce...take one onion and saute it in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook it over medium heat until the onion is soft (about three minutes) and then add minced garlic (you can buy it already minced) cook for one minute and then add 1 28 oz can of tomatoes. Let it simmer (cook at a very slow boil) for about ten minutes. While the sauce is cooking, cook the pasta according to package directions. You can add whatever you like to the basic sauce...cooked ground beef, mushrooms, olives, whatever you think would taste good.

*Make mushroom ( or sausage) omelletes, sprinkle them with a little parsley and they will make a nice quick meal.

* French loaf pizza: Slice the french loaf down the middle, slightly toast it in oven then take out.

Spread some pizza sauce on it- just a thin layer.
Sprinkle all over with pizza cheese.
Add sliced or cooked sausages ( or whatever you wish)
Add chopped bell pepper and black olive.
Put back in oven for a few minutes , till ready.

Then slice into appropriate sized pieces.
