Cabbage Beef Soup is easy and so good. Use your beef broth and add tomatoes carrots, celery, onion, great northern beans or even baked beans, chopped cabbage and browned ground beef, salt and pepper. Cook over med low heat until cabbage is tender. Very good and comforting. #2 Melt a few Tbls. of butter in a skillet and add a few Tbls. olive oil,cut kielbasa into big bite size pieces and brown a little, add chopped cabbage and cook until cabbage is a little brown and tender.#3 place cabbage, potatoes and a little garlic in pot and add a couple cups water. Simmer of low heat until almost tender, add kielbasa(cut into pieces). Cook until potatoes and cabbage are done. Salt and pepper to taste. You could also add your Brussels spouts to this.#4 Mix ground beef with an egg, chopped onion, garlic, and some cooked rice, salt and pepper. Roll into large meat balls. Place on baking sheet and bake 25 mins. at 350. Meanwhile, chop cabbage and place in large skillet, pour canned tomatoes over cabbage add any seasonings you like cook over med heat, add meat balls and cook until cabbage is done. Sprinkle w/ parm cheese. This is like cabbage rolls but just twisted up a little. Enjoy!

Filled cabbage leaves with home made tomato sauce. Try googling stuffed cabbage leaves for recipe.

cabbage rolls

Make meatballs with seasonings you prefer & brown in deep pan like a dutch oven. Then add tomatoes & simmer 20 minutes. Add chunks of cabbage & simmer 1/2 hour. To make the meatballs you add chopped onion & garlic to the meat, 1 egg (per pound) 1/4 cup rice. I do this instead of making cabbage rolls. Same taste & easier.
I use Lawreys seasoning salt in place of regular salt.
