I'm sorry to tell you that spaghetti bolognese don't exist in Italy, like many other recepies that people think are italian, they are just made up. Here, in Italy, don't go searching for spaghetti bolognese because they don't exist. There is a kind of pasta, typical of Bologna, which has in it a sauce called ragù made with meat, but it's totally different from spaghetti. I know it's hard to understand, but real italian food is really different from the one eaten abroad. Bye bye.

I had spaghetti at a restaurant a couple of days back and they cooked Spaghetti Bolognaise the usual way but they added peppers as well as onions... And it tasted great! Give it a go if you're fine with peppers. I recommend green ones. Top it with lots of cheese and maybe shallots. Yummy... Cheers :)

Hi there, this is very authentic and simple , you will need half a kilo of beef mince(not lean), olive oil , 1 large minced or grated onion, 1 glass of dry white wine, 1 spoon of tomato paste, 1 tin of chopped italian tomatoes , salt and pepper, then fry the onion until its golden , add the mince and brown, add the wine and wait until it all evaporates, then add the paste, and the tinned tomatoes with their juice , add a glass of water, add pepper, and salt to taste, simmer untill the sauce has reduced , this is the original and best for me, there are other versions but i like the original best,

Im Italian born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.....and try to stay away from that Italo-American influence and try beef stew with pasta...I find Italian-American pastas to be plain boring.
