These cookies are very moist so i think if you wrap them all individually in saran wrap and add padding to the box when you ship them so they don't break, they will be fresh and amazing still when they get there! There my award winning Chocolate Chip cookies! Seriously the best, sometimes i add half chocolate chip, and half m &m's instead of all chocolate chips .. and most the times i don't put in any nuts!

INGREDIENTS

* 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons baking soda
* 2 cups butter, softened
* 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
* 1/2 cup white sugar
* 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
* 4 eggs
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
* 2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

foodnetwork.com to Alton Brown's classic chocolate chip recipe. Will stay fresh if frozen for up to three months.

buy store bought cookies!!!:]]]]]]]]]]]

Storage of the cookies is more important than the recipe. Place your baked cookies in an airtight container, such as a cookie tin, and place a slice of fresh white bread in the container with the cookies. I think your cookies should hold long enough with a slice or 2 of bread during shipment.
If storing at home, you would change the bread when it dries out.

I agree with the other poster, storage of the cookie is more important than the recipe itself for keeping it fresh. When I had a cookie business I used to seal them in polypropylene bags to preserve the freshness of the cookies. I got out as much as the air as I could before I sealed them. I've also used a Tilia food saver to vacuum-seal the cookies and that works well too.

storage is key. Airtight. I prefer tin to plastic if possible.

Also avoid cookies which are supposed to be very moist inside.
That is tempting the fates.
Now I'll give you an old fashioned recipe that my mom used to make and store

METHOD =1)mix flour,oats & sugar.
2) melt butter,sugar & bicarb.
3) mix 1 & 2 together
the mixture is quite crumbly. Flatten intogreased pan and press down well
