Do you eat several courses at dinner? Such as, appetizer, entree, dessert..?!

Question: At home.

Answers: At home.

At my house, we generally prepare all of the dishes to be eaten at the meal simultaneously and once they're done, plunk servings down on our plates. Viola!

At home no. Actually not the often when I go out to eat either.

Nope, Just a salad and a main course!

usually three courses plus dessert sometimes latter, usually a pasta, then a meat vegatable and salad.

We only serve a several course dinner when we have family visiting or friends over. Then its the usual soup/salad course, anit-pasto platter til the main is done, main course and dessert with drinks/coffee. Nothing to fancy but with having little kids around who like to drag grandparents or nephews to play during dinner at odd times we just find it works easier this way. Also the kids eat well before the older folks do thats why they like to get attention during dinner.

No

I typically do, but they are all healthy courses. I live alone so have them all out at the same time, so I dont know if you would consider it 'courses' or not, but I do tend to eat them in order. Its good for the health to eat more slowly, it can prevent over eating. Also, eating a variety is good for your because you can take in better nutrition and you will feel more satisfied.

I make a small salad for every dinner. On the weekend I cut up cabbage, lettuce, some fresh veggies, and combine them in a big tupperware and then take a little bit out each night. Generally I get 4 or 5 nights out of one tupperware. You shouldnt go too much longer or the veggies wont be fresh or tasty. I always eat the salad before I eat anything else. Then I eat my 'main course' as it were. It might be a rice dish, soup, a pasta dish, a plate of cooked veggies, or whatever. Then, if I am not full (which I often am) I go and put the dishes up. If, after washing the dishes, I am still interested in a snack I eat a light dessert. Usually fruit and milk or maybe apple with a little bit of peanut butter or something. I always save this for last and do not prepare it until AFTER my meal and dishes are cleaned up, that way I am usually too full.

Its a great way to do things for your health and your waist line!

I was brought up eating salad before dinner with every night. When I go to my Italian family's for dinner, we always have pasta as an appetizer. In day-to-day life, sometimes I'll have some cheese or avocado salad before dinner. My boyfriend likes dessert, but I try to only have fruit after dinner.

Nope, Just a salad and a main course!

Absolutely. Every night, except dessert, which we have twice a week. BUT, we eat 6 small meals each day, so we just take longer to eat our meals. For example, the boys get home at 3:30 from school, and dinner is at 5:00. When they get home they get an appetizer and a salad or steamed veggie. Then for dinner they get the main dish, and any bread or starch if we are having it. That way their afterschool snack doesn't ruin their dinner! Same with the other meals.

at home, no. i always eat a salad along with my meal. and maybe a snack later for a dessert. but i dont eat in stages.

I have an entree only usually, but sometimes start with a salad. Eating out, my BF and I order only a main course and a drink or 2.

If I had appetizer, entree and dessert, I'd be big as a house.

Seldomly.
