Do you put sweet or dill relish in your potato salad?!

Question: I use chopped dill pickles.

Answers: I use chopped dill pickles.

Dill. ALWAYS dill. The mayonnaise and yolk from the eggs adds enough sweetness to the mix so that you don't need any additional sweeteners in the potato salad.

I use diced cucumber & radish slices.

No, but I do use fresh dill. I like to add sweet relish to my tuna salad, though.

blaaahhhhh. sorry, i dont now how to spell a vomiting sound.

I use either, just depends on which one I have on hand in my fridge. But honestly we usually hvae Dill relish which my husband likes best in his potato salads

I dont add relish, but I do add dill the spice. I find this gets a good reaction from people. Instead of using relish which can add unwanted salt or extra moisture to the dish, I use cut, fresher veggies and then the dill itself. It comes out healthier, lighter, and a bit tastier actually!

Sweet gherkins.

Don't like dill pickles in my potato salad.

Since you like dill try this. I like it and it is my husbands favorite.

Dice your potatoes and cook until tender, drain. Add to a bowl and add a chopped sweet onion and sweet pickle relish. Mix in about three to four tablespoons depending on the amount of dill weed, salt anda pepper to taste and mayonnaise.

Mix well and enjoy.

sweet relish

I put both and dill weed.
yum
:D

i use dill as well

my trick... a cajun mustard (the one with the horsradish) and a little dill or sweet relish... lots of egg...celery and onion finely diced... damn bring on the bbq!!!!

huh - I always thought I was the only one who liked dill pickles in their potato salad! I even pour a little of the dill pickle juice in for more of the zing!

Try adding chopped pickled herring and substitute sour cream for some of the mayo - it's good! (and slightly Eastern European) mmmmmm

Sweet relish
