When you make egg salad do you keep it simple or put something zingy in it?!

Question: I make the basic but sometimes add capers or chopped stuffed green olives.

Answers: I make the basic but sometimes add capers or chopped stuffed green olives.

sounds delish! i use very finely diced celery and onion....

Keep it simple.

I add a dash or two of hot sauce.

I hard boil my eggs, peel and chop them in little chunks and add sweet pickle relish, mayo and salt and pepper to taste. When I want a little kick I add a dash or two of hot sauce and mix it in as well.

I LOVE pickles in my egg salad....and mustard!!

I shred the eggs, as in a cheese grater. then add a little(!) bit of mayo, sweet relish, and horseradish. Salt and pepper if you wish

simple is best

Throw some arsenic in it one day, the guests love it. Don't tell anyone though, because it'll ruin the surprise.

I keep it simple but do add a little regular mustard.

keep it simple mostly, sometimes a little fine diced onion, alittle mixed pickles.
Someone who answers below me.What are capers????

i keep it simple. eggs, mayo, black pepper, onion

I add curry powder for zing, as well as deli-style mustard. Sometimes cilantro as well. I think egg salad is bland without some kind of zing in it. Capers are a good idea!

Pretty basic, just some mayo, salt and pepper.

chalula hot sauce
way better than tabasco or tapatio

I like to substitute ranch dressing or bleu cheese (especially good) dressing or any salad dressing for the mayonnaise.

I also like to add (if using mayo) minced canned chipotle pepper

Freshly cracked black pepper is good

Dill pickles chopped are good for a twist
