Now we have prejudice issues even in cooking?????????????? How stupid.

Can American, Chinese, Mexican, African-American cook German food like Bratwurst and Sauerkraut.HAHA
.

can black people cook FRENCH FRIES or FRENCH TOAST, lol

ANYONE CAN COOK ANY TYPE OF FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

ummm...no...nd i wouldn't say fried chicken is 'american food'!!

fried chicken is a southern specialty but it doesnt mean that people of other regions or ethnicities can not cook it. if you think about it, most chefs who cook certain foods are not of that ethnicity.. hispanics cook the most diversely, look at most restaurants especially in california, hispanics are the chefs... this lady making this comment is a stereotype, not a fact...

You can cook whatever you want. I am filipino and I cook mostly Italian food and american food.

wow that's a narrow minded person

No it isn't true. My mom can cook anything, and so can her Mexicans friends. We do not always have tacos, enchildadas, beans, and tortillas. We have been known to grill and eat steaks, ribs and hamburgers from time to time, and yes my mom and her friends can fry yummy chicken with fluffy mashed potatoes with butter. lol

That's absolutely ridiculous.

Practically every culture that has chickens have figured out at least one fried chicken dish. Including Mexicans, it's typically fried straight up instead of breaded.

And Potatoes first came from central and south america. So if anything, Hispanics would know more about cooking potatoes than black people.

In any case, what a bunch of racist crap. It's the skill of the cook, not the color of their skin or their herritage that makes the dish.

For what it's worth. Most chinese restraunts around my house are staffed by hispanics even though the asian owners are at the counter.

A great question! As you may know, many Mexicans have tried and failed to cook anything but Mexican food for hundreds of years. It's the same with the Irish as well, we cant stop thinking about where we are going to get our next drink or how good some boiled potatoes would taste right about now...

Anybody on this earth has the capability of cooking anything.

If a Mexican wants to fry up some chicken there is no reason why they couldn't or shouldn't.

This person is wrong.. She might be surprised to learn that a white woman in Canada also cooks fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, etc. And they can cook that same meal in Europe! And Australia! And in Germany!

By the way, this white Canadian woman also cooks Mexican food. And Italian. And French...

PLEASE!!!!!! Im mexican born and rise and I only cook Cajun (louisiana) food cause that what i like!!!

My Mexican neighbor and friend can cook much better "All American foods" than any southern black person ...she can cook "black food" as you called it. She is just as american as apple pie (made in China). They are "stigmatizing" and "generalizing" by saying that comment about the Mexican people ... not all people are alike and not all "black people" can cook "black food". They can't make a decent Taco.

Of course! I grew up in a very traditional Mexican household and once in a while my mom would make some killer fried chicken, corn bread and white rice and gravy. We did accompany the dish with some jalapenos but it was pretty "American" to me.

OF COURSE WE CAN! people are stupid if they think we cant

SUCH A RACIST STUPID QUESTION. TELL PEOPLE TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES BEFORE JUDGING ON OTHER PEOPLES POTENTIALS. IGNORANT.

Ummm.... Have you ever eaten mexican food? We are the KINGS of fried food lol. Chips, Chicken, Porkchops, chicken fried steak, Refried Beans HA. Even some of our desserts are fried (churros) HA just look at all of my family members...they are all over weight...and I can tell you right now, its not from eating salads!

Wow, here is some advice:

1) Grow up and open your eyes
2) Tell your mom to put restrictions on the browsers
3) When you do realize what kind of jack@ss you are, maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut.

We used to have a kosher restaurant near where I live with a Black Christian chef. He faked the most delicious roast pork and Lobster Cantonese - both glatt (strictly) kosher.

Any reasonably intelligent human being can learn to cook the foods of any culture..

Well then that black person should try some Korean fried chicken. OMG it's the best fried chicken I've ever had. EVER!!!!

then that would be a racies remark. my husband is mexican and im white, he makes fry chicken all the time. if you know how to cook any food from any region in the world, then i am saying that its bs that only black people can only cook fried chicken and collard greens and the latinos cook only mexican food

Well that is completely Ignorant. Your skin color, race, religion etc... have nothing to do with how you cook. Just because a person is black doesn't mean that they are going to make the best fried chicken ever. I know a white guy that makes excellent fried chicken and I've heard many black people from the south say his was the best fried chicken ever. Tell your friend she needs to open her mind and pull her head out of.......

Anyone can cook any food from any culture..

I cook foods from all kinds of countries..

Mexican people can cook anything they want. Many gourmet chefs in New York City are Mexican.
