Can i use regular milk instead of buttermilk to make pancakes??!

Question: please help me!!!!!

Answers: please help me!!!!!

Yes, I don't use buttermilk in mine but if you want you can make buttermilk, just a Tbs or two of vinegar or lemon juice to a cup of milk and let it sit for a bit.

Also, here's a good basic recipe for batter I like :)
Pancake batter
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons margarine , melted
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1Beat egg until fluffy.
2Add milk and melted margarine.
3Add dry ingredients and mix well.
4Heat a heavy griddle or fry pan which is greased with a little butter on a paper towel.
5The pan is hot enough when a drop of water breaks into several smaller balls which 'dance' around the pan.
6Pour a small amount of batter (approx 1/4 cup) into pan and tip to spread out or spread with spoon.
7When bubbles appear on surface and begin to break, turn over and cook the other side.

Sure. They will be just as yummy.

Yup , yup.
Made em this morning :D

yes, that's fine. Won't be as good as buttermilk though.

are many times that you may be making a recipe and realize that it calls for buttermilk. If you don’t use it on a regular basis, chances are that you don’t have it in the fridge. Here is how to make your own buttermilk and it’s fast and easy!

Per one cup of buttermilk do the following:

1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice

Let these sit together in a glass measuring cup for at least 10 minutes

yes. but you can make buttermilk by adding a teaspoon of vinegar to the milk and let it sit for awhile.

Put one teaspoon of vinegar in a 1 cup measuring cup and put in regular milk up to the 1 cup line and let it sit for a half an hour on the counter. You now have sour milk which can be used in the place of buttermilk.

Yes, and a little vanilla and cinnamon make it taste better.

if you don't have butter milk add some vinegar one teaspoon for a cup of regular milk
wow i can thank my highschool teacher for that
what ann is saying is right except im not sure if you have to let it sit for half an hour.

you can. You can even use water in emergencies. just add an extra egg and butter or shortening
