What can I make with leftover cooked rice?!

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook onion, celery and broccoli in butter for 5 minutes. Add soup and milk and heat thoroughly. Remove from heat, add cheese and stir until cheese has melted. Spread cooked rice in a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Pour broccoli/cheese mixture over; do not stir. Bake, uncovered, at 325*F (160*C) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Fry it.. With 1 tbsp of oil.

Put soy sauce and egg.. add sausages and sprinkle some corn. It's the best!!!!!

Rice Pudding


Add Milk to just cover rice
Add sweetened condensed milk to taste
cinnamon to taste
raisins-optional

simmer until rice is really soft and raisins plump
you can always keep adding the regular milk during this process. Just remember to use these ingredients to taste and texture. You really can't mess it up

Chicken rice soup is easy. Chicken broth, carrots,celery,a little poultry seasoning and some parsley add your rice and you're good to go. Also rice pudding. Add milk and a little sugar and some raisins. Some people add cinnamon. Really good.

Add to soup or use as the base of a fried rice recipe.
Deep fried rice rolls are a favourite here, if they are curried.

saute onion ginger and garlic .... add bite size chicken....season with pepper... add rice and chicken broth (enough to cover rice)... simmer for 5 minutes or until rice absorbs the broth.... serve.. top with fried chopped garlic and chopped green onion

Shrimp fried rice! In asian restaurants, they also used rice that's been cooked awhile before for frying, because the rice is now more separate and individual. Saute the rice in oil, onions, defrosted snow peas, carrots slivers, eggs if you want, soy sauce or you can make the meat pork, beef, tofu, or chicken. It's quick and really good.

Fried Rice

2-3 tablespoons canola oil
3 tablespoons green onions, chopped
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or 2 cups cooked pork, chopped or 2 cups shrimp, chopped or 2 cups cooked beef, chopped
4 cups rice, cooked
2-3 tablespoons light soy sauce (or to taste)
1-1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce (or to taste)
1-1 1/2 tablespoons sake (or to taste) or 1-1 1/2 tablespoons white wine (or to taste)
2-3 eggs
vegetable (cooked peas and or carrots, if desired)

Heat oil in frying pan.

Add rice, green onion, and meat.

Cook over medium high heat for 1-2 minutes trying to coat the rice with the oil.

Add sauces and mix well.

Push rice to sides and scramble eggs in hole made in middle until done.

Combine eggs with rice. Add in vegetables, if desired.

Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Serve and enjoy!

mmm.. You should make Rice Pudding here is an easy recipe:
1 1/2 cups water
2/3 cup white rice
2 eggs -- beaten
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins
heavy cream -- (optional)


Instructions:


Bring the water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
Add the rice and return to boiling. Stir and cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 14 minutes. Do not lift the cover while cooking.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a wire whip. Add the sugar and beat well. Pour in the milk, stirring to combine.
Add the vanilla, nutmeg, salt, raisins, and the hot rice. Stir the mixture and pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole
Bake at 325 degrees, stirring frequently until most of the liquid is absorbed and the pudding begins to set (about 50 to 60 minutes, or until an inserted knife comes out clean).
Serve warm or cold, with cream, if desired. Refrigerate any remaining pudding.

LEFTOVER MEAT & RICE CASSEROLE

1 med. onion, thinly sliced
3 tbsp. shortening
1 c. diced, cooked meat
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Brown onion; add meat, rice and cook slowly until rice is golden brown. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Stir well and pour into greased casserole. Cover and bake at 400 degrees 30 minutes, then remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer.
