A good recipe please?!

Answers: for bread and butter pudding, mine seems to got a bit dry.

It is not the recipe that makes yours dry, it is the way you cook it.

Cook it for less time or at a lower temperature and it will not be so dry.

slice the bread into 6 slices
then get a bowl put the custard in a bowl and stir till thick
and get a oven dish lay the bread slice in the dish pure the custard on top then sprinkle some sugar on top

Why not make a summer pudding instead? Mixed berries...6 ozs golden caster sugar...7 slices of day old bread.....cut off crusts and cut bread into triangles....soak bread in fruit juices line the bowl with the bread put the fruit inside cover the top with bread triangles and leave in fridge for the night..Add cream before serving.....the fruit should be cooked for 3 minutes only before adding to the bread in the bowl....this only costs about 75p and takes about 20 mins to prepare plus time in the fridge....couldnt be easier could it????

Google it.
OK- this is mine- simple-but good.

1 person portion dish, -leave bread out overnight- to go stale,.....Butter bread, cut off crusts, cut into triangles, line dish with it, whisk 1 egg and milk in a cup, pour to top of bread, sprinkle with brown sugar or nutmeg- cook for 5 to 10 Min's- until egg mixture sets.

You can add Any Cooked fruit- layer it into bread... or add currants or raisins.

l used to make that for the Elderly people l cared for- they All enjoyed it- just Double proportions if dish is bigger.
Enjoy.
