What is the best corn beef and cabbage recipe that you use?!

Heat oil or butter in a large pot....season corned beef with s&p then brown on all sides...add 1 chopped onion,1 bay leaf and enough water to cover.bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer.and let cook 3 hours or until beef is fork tender.
remove beef to a platter.add cabbage cut into 8ths,1/2 inch carrot slices,and quartered potatoes.add more water if needed to cover veggies....return meat to pot and cook 30 mins or until veggies are tender.

Things You’ll Need:

Crock-Pot
4 lbs. corned beef brisket
3 medium onions - quartered
1/2 small head of cabbage - cut into wedges
3 carrots - cut into 3-inch pieces
Step 1:
Put carrots, corned beef brisket, onions and 1 c. water into Crock-Pot.

Step 2:
Cover and cook on low 8 hrs.

Step 3:
Add cabbage wedges and push down until they are moistened.

Step 4:
Replace cover, turn Crock-Pot to high, and cook 2 hours more.
