If vitamin A is the mother of all anti-cancer vitamins, then vitamin C is the grandmother of all.

You may wish to supplement your diet with Vitamin C, which is water-soluble. As to how much, part of the controversy is the extreme range of dosages that can be consumed in humans or produced in animals.

10mg daily will prevent scurvy in most healthy adults.
60mg is the RDA.
200-300mg would be consumed by those who are following the NCI suggestion of 5 servings of fruit and vege. daily.
300mg of supplemental Vitamin C was shown to increase quantity of life by 6 years in men.
1000mg is required in many hospitalised patients, just to maintain adequate serum ascorbate levels.
10000-20000mg is often taken by many people using C to curtail some illness, such as cancer, AIDS, viral infections and injury recovery.
100000mg/day has been given intravenously with no side effects.

20000mg is produced by animals, such as goats and dogs, on a per weight basis using a 154 lb reference man; internal production goes up further when the animal is exposed to stress, infections, or toxins.

Hope this helps :)

Try Centrum - it has everything in it.

Do you eat any fruits?
Do you eat enough protein? (meat, beans, etc)
You may be getting enough if you do include fruits and proteins.... if not, look for something potassium, vitamin C, all the B vitamins, etc.

You need to start eating right....... and teach your children to eat right.... There must be some veggies that you will eat?
Tomatoes
Carrots
Celery
Onions
Peas
Beans
Beets
Broccoli

Start eating the things you tolerate the best.....and never talk bad about foods you dislike in front of your children...

As far as vitamins........ One A Day or Flintstones

Mac and cheese is (are) not vegetables. You are not eating a healthy diet. Take a course in nutrition at you local adult education facility.

late note:potato aren't considered vegetables either...they are in the starch category.

lol that was funny when you said mac and cheese are vegetables. you NOOB, start eating watermelon, it has like no nutritional value but it tastes good!

Mac and cheese is not a vegetable...potatoes are root vegetables.

You can get many vitamins from fruits as well. I'd look into a multivitamin, too. Don't get Centrum, that crap is overpriced and underdone. Go to Vitamin World or GNC. Get a multi from there. Those have lots of vitamins, everything Centrum has and more, plus more of it. Centrum just gives you 100% RDA of everything but in the pill form, you should be getting more, especially when paying basically the same price.

Keep in mind though, these vitamins are not nearly as complete as those found in fresh fruits and vegetables.
