Need a recipe all i have is rice and...?!


Question: So my mom is very sick today and i need to cook diner, and needless to say i am not a good cook.
all we have is instant rice, hamburger meat, noodles, and frozen vegies.. (and abunch of other things like sauces and stuff) (my mom is sick so we haven't done shopping yet so theres not much) We also have a slow cooker.. so if you have any ideas, please help. feel free to add other ingredients and such. thanks!!!!!!!!!

You didn't mention this so i'm not sure if you have it or not but... Tuna, Hot Sauce, and Rice. If you like ranch you can add some of that too. It's really good!!

Cook the rice in milk instead of water and once it's ready, add a lot of cinnamon. That's what I had a lot when really young and we didn't have much.

make hamburgers then mix the rice and vegatbles together and maybe some cheese if you got that

you could do white rice with hamburger steak and veggies for dinner...it would be quick easy and simple since you dont cook often..cook the rice...cook the veggies....shape the hamburger into patties one for everyone...cook them till they no longer have pink juice.....serve them with steak sauce.

Brown the hamburger meat. In a SEPARATE pot, boil water to cook the noodles. Once the meet is browned, drain off all of the fat. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and add them into the pot. I would recommend adding tomato sauce and a little Italian seasoning. It's an easy, all in one Spaghetti meal!

Cook the ground beef in a skillet and drain the grease. Put the meat in the slow cooker with the noodles and some tomato or barbeque sauce. Add enough water for the noodles. Cook some frozen veggies on the side and add dinner rolls or maybe make Texas toast.

Make something like hamburger helper. Cook the noodles or rice and add in some cheese, spices, and the cooked ground hamburger meat. Top it with some more cheese and bake it. It will come out like a casserole. You could always make Broccoli and Cheese casserole as well. Look up some recipes on the FOOD NETWORK channel's website.

Hamburger Spanish Rice

Yield: 4 servings

1 lb Lean ground beef
1 md Onion, chopped
1/2 md Green pepper, chopped
1 c Uncooked instant rice
1 cn Tomato sauce (15 oz)
3/4 c Hot water
1 ts Prepared mustard
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 ts Salt
1 ts Sugar

In a skillet, brown beef, onion, green pepper and rice. Add remaining
ingredients, mix well. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20
to
25 minutes or until the rice is tender. SERVES 4 TO 6


You can use whatever veggies you have and cook it in the crockpot for about 2 hours instead of on stove if you are not in a hurry.

You could cook the noodles. Brown the meat (and if you've got some sauces like worchestershire or soy, or better, brown gravy, add that) and combine them. If you don't have brown gravy you may have to add a little bit of water after you combine them so it keeps its moisture. You could just serve the vegetables on the side.

Crockpot Rice and Hamburger

2 lbs. ground beef
2 onions, cut up
1 can tomatoes
1 can tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup cooked rice

Brown beef in skillet and drain. Put browned beef in crock pot; add onion, tomatoes, and soup. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Add hot cooked rice about 20 minutes before serving.


Hamburger Rice Skillet

1 pound ground beef
3 cups water
2 medium carrots, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
1 celery rib, chopped
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 cups uncooked instant rice

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. stir in the water, carrots, celery and soup mix. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Return to a boil; add the rice. Remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.

Make mini 'meatloaf burgers' & serve w/ the rice & a veg....

Don't have a meatloaf recipe? Hey, all ya need then is one egg to the beef, some saltines crushed or Ital seasoned breadcrumbs, a lil milk, a touch of ketchup, mustard & Worchestershire sauce, garlic powder or freshly minced.....mix all til well blended...

Form into patties like you would a hamburger & saute on med heat til done on the stovetop....flip once when done on one side (key trick)....& voila, you will have a 'hamburger that tastes like a meatloaf' in record time.....& you can even add a slice of American or Swiss cheese for the 'gourmet style'!

o.k. you need to boil your rice not to soft. after cooking the rice .take your meet add garlic,onions,black pepper/salt let it sit for 15 min get a pot let it get hot add oil let that get hot an add the meet to the pot an keep turning it for about 30 min an your good let me know how it came out.

Hamburger meat and noodles are perfect for making beef stroganoff, or making a casserole with rice and hamburger meat.
