Learn to decorate cakes from home?!

Question: I started by just baking cakes for my children and neices and nephews, and this is slowly branching out. I'm taught myself a few things, such as basketweave and a few borders. I reproduced a beautiful cake for a baby shower that looks like a carriage, and now I've been asked to make a wedding cake.
I'M SO NERVOUS. Do you know of any websites that will help me learn to put together a professional cake, with lots of tips on frosting technique, layering without splitting, etc. I don't have time or money to go to school, so I'm just learning as I go at home. Thanks for your help!

I've found 2 websites very detailed for making a wedding cake. The first just basically uses the weave or basket like look design, The other is step by step and has pictures. Also fresh fruit or flowers is always a colorful, easy way to make the cake appear elegant. Hope this helps and Good Luck with the wedding cake.
I'm sure you'll do fine if you've taught yourself thus far I think you can tackle anything.

Sometimes Wilton will do preview classes at craft stores like Michaels. You wouldn't have to sign up just watch the class.
