Yummy Snack Ideas For A Road Trip?!

Question: Hi all-

I am a breastfeeding mother who is going on a 24 hr. rd. trip (I know- I am completely nuts).....But do you have any healthy snack ideas to bring along (to keep my energy up since I will be feeding him)? I am not a vegitable type person but I love fruit....Any ideas? Could you write me a shopping list? Lol.....Thanks!

Hopefully you will have a small cooler....
In the produce section you can get packages of precut fruit such as pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew...the list goes on and on.

Snack Mix
2 cups mixed nuts
2 cups dried fruits
1/2 cup chocolate chips

String Cheese
Sliced Deli Meat
Oven Baked Pita Chips

Bottled Water
Bottled Tea

not a vegtable type person???
carrots are great
especially the baby ones

Fresh fruit seems like the best type of snack otherwise you'll consume too many calories. Bananas and grapes hold up well. ;)

What about Dried Fruit? You can make a yummy trail road mix with the sesame sticks and dried fruit...rasins, dried banana's, dried apricots, peanuts, mmm...that's sounds yummy to me!!

-Dried fruit chips
-Granola bars
-Home made Chex mix (mix together Chex cereal, some pretzels, some raisins, goldfish crackers, and dried fruit)
-Crackers and peanut butter

The great thing about those suggestions is that none of it has to be refrigerated. Just pack it in some zippy bags or some plastic containers and you're good to go. Have fun!

sunflower seeds
pro-biotic yoghurts
banana's
home-made quiche
babybels
