Could I use hamburger meat to make chicken fried steak?!


Question: All chicken fried steak is is beef pounded. Yes you can use hamburger, it will taste a little different and have a different texture but still be fine.

Sure to one pound of Ground beef add 1 cup bread crumbs ,1 t onion powder 1 t salt .1 egg....combine well
form into patties .....bread let rest for 10 mins to set the crust,,,,deep fry until brown...

i make hamburger steak with hamburger meat and smother it with onions & make a gravy . yea, you can do alot of things with hamburger meat .

no it won't be chicken fried steak..... you can make hamburger steak.... if you want chicken fried steak you need to use beef round steak......now i love chicken fried steak...... and my dad loves hamburger steak... they do taste different...

No, it would be too soft and would not hold together with the seasoned flour coating. You would need to use cubed steak or some form of pounded beef meat.
