Use a little bit more baking powder instead of baking soda and use a smaller and rounder scoop. Then, always store in an airtight container.

The rounder the scoop the puffier the cookie.

just put them in a container that is air tight with a slice of bread this will make them soft the bread does it you are not doing anything wrong if you want them to be soft right after baking bake them 2 min. less

take them out a few minutes early :-D
and i think put a piece of white bread in a sealed container with the cookies

can u send me a recipe if u have

I think you might be baking them a tad too long; that will dry them out. Put them in an airtight plastic container or zip lock baggy with a slice of apple. The apple will keep them soft.

I think you are over baking them. Your oven may be running too hot also. I would lower the temperature by 25 degrees to start. If that doesn't help, pull them out a minute or two early or when you see signs that the edges are browning nicely. Also, you might try a baking mat that can be purchased at Target or WalMart. Good luck.

underbake them a little and store them in an airtight container, if they are not soft enough when you want to serve them warm them up for a few minutes in the microwave

Put a slice of bread in a closed container. It softens the cookies.
