Make stromboli..just like pizza but its rolled so its different. Yummm
you could...make pizza with it.
My mother makes donuts with her left over pizza dough. It's actually pretty good.
Coat with whipped egg white and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. :D
Make a calzone! Yeah, you can switch one for the other.
You could make bread sticks. Or, make a dessert pizza with frosting and cinnamon.
ROLL IT OUT LIKE PIZZA...BRUSH ON BUTTER AND SPRINKLE WITH GARLIC AND CHEESE...THEN ROLL IT UP (And when I turn off the caps and quit yelling....) bake it and slice it up for appitizers. sorry about the yelling...hee hee
Get creative...add bits of meat....peanut butter...fresh veggies...go for it!
Whenever I have leftover dough, I make a kind of desert pizza.
I spread the dough out a bit thicker than I would for normal pizza, then pour on a good amount of butter, then sprinkle a cinnamon/sugar/nutmeg mixture and pop in the oven for about twenty minutes.
It is a wonderful desert or just a snack.
In regard to the sauce question: Marinara actually tastes better than normal pizza sauce in my opinion, so go for it!
yes but you will have to add spices. You can make a desert pizza and have it for your breakfast. really good.
cook the dough into knots and make spaghetti and meatballs with the red sauce and have the bread knots on the side it is DEELish
roll out and cut into strips. fry in oil and roll in sugar. everything tastes good w/ sugar on it!
I used to make "meat bread". Roll out the pizza dough into sort of a rectangle shape. Layer ham, salami, pepperoni and provolone cheese (or whatever combinaton of meats and cheeses you would like). Roll up the dough and bake in oven till dough is lightly browned and cheese is melted.
OMG this is sooo good and I want one NOW!!!
Bacon-filled breakfast stromboli
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 (12 ounce) jar salsa
Sour cream
DIRECTIONS
On an ungreased baking sheet, roll the dough into a 12-in. circle. One one half of dough, sprinkle cheeses and bacon to within 1/2 in. of edges. Fold dough over filling; pinch edges to seal. Bake at 425 degrees F for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with salsa and sour cream.
USE IT TO MAKE FOCACCIA BREAD:
FOCACCIA BREAD
One package active dry yeast
Two cups warm water (105-110 degrees)
9 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Five cups all-purpose flour
One tablespoon kosher salt
Three tablespoons plus one teaspoon chopped rosemary
Combine the yeast, water and four tablespoons of the oil in a bowl and rest for five minutes. Mix the flour, half of the rosemary and the salt in a bowl. Then mix in the water and knead the dough for ten minutes. Brush a large stainless steel bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning it once to coat it evenly, cover with a cloth and rest for an hour and a half. Now you must decide how you wish to shape the bread. You can spread the dough into a 12 X 18 pan for a thinner loaf. I use a 10 X 13 pan that is two inches deep for a thicker loaf. Oil the pan, spread out the dough and rest for one more hour. With your hands spread, using your fingers, poke holes across the top of the dough. Drizzle the remaining olive oil, rosemary, and a little more salt on the top. Place it into a preheated 400 degree oven for approximately 25 minutes. Keep an eye on it, (especially to ensure the bottom is not burning), and adjust the heat if need be. Ovens can vary a great deal. When finished, dip pieces of the bread in extra-virgin olive oil seasoned with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
