I am no 5 star chef, but I am a momma who grew up in the kitchen. Looking at your ingredients, here is the simple yet pretty awesome dinner I came up with :)
Seared Sirloin with Potato Fritters and Pan fried Green Beans.
Defrost and marinate the Sirloin in a mixture of olive oil, mustard and touch of soy sauce. Sounds nasty but trust me its good! Let that sit and prepare your fritters. Then throw the steak in a searing hot pan, or under the broiler until it is to your liking.
Fritters:
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 egg
4 rounded Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk
dash of cayenne or even tapatio for a kick (love that stuff)
Mix that all together and drop spoonfuls into a pan with hot oil (medium high) until golden on both sides. Season with salt when you take them out as well if you like.
In a pan heated over medium, brown up some butter and a touch of oil, then throw in your beans. Let them sear for about 3-4 minutes, stirring them a bunch. Add in a bit of water, and cover it. Let it sizzle about two minutes, take the lid off and give them a good flip. Salt and pepper them and serve.
That's my meal for you, enjoy and feel better!
If I had the creative energy I could probably come up with a good recipe using your electic ingredients. However, I'm pooped today, so I'm going to suggest take-out! :)
Hope you feel better!
You didn't mention what you were sick with and that determines what you should be feeding your body while you're getting well. If, for example, you have the stomach flu, then you don't want something very heavy, and, if you have a cold etc., then you might want to go easy on certain foods as well. So, here are some ideas:
Defrost that steak of yours and make a rub of fresh ground pepper, kosher salt, chili powder, lemon pepper, some cumin if you have it, and a little lemon juice or wine. Let sit for at least an hour or longer, preferred. To your potato flakes, add hot milk and pepper as well as butter. If you have cheese, add some of that, as well as some sour cream and garlic. Drain your green beans and heat. Toss with lemon pepper and kosher salt. Grill your steak to medium rare and slice thin. Serve with potatos and green beans. For dessert, get some ice cream for that chocolate syrup of yours.
cut up the steak into cubes, season with a pinch of cinnamon, some salt, and lemon pepper and saute it, make the jumbalaya mix, add steak to the jambalaya along with 1 can of the green beans. make a cup or two of the potato flakes and add some salt pepper, and ranch for zip. Layer the meat and rice in a casserole and top with the instant potatoes. bake it in the oven at 375 for 20 minutes, then broil the top until the potatoes are brown. serve with simple fried eggs if you are super hungry!
ok here is wht i would do i would crack open all the eggs into a bowl add some milk a little not a lot and whip them up into a batter like you no for an omelet then chop up your steak into little chunks and chop up your potato, place both in a mixing bowl and mix in your bbq sauce mix togeather cook them up half way done pour your egg mixture over them to make an omelet when done place on a plate add your syrup to the top and the if you want add your ground cinnamon then as your eating your awsome omelet go ahead n play with your play dough
marinate the sirloin for at least an hour with olive oil, soy sauce, 1 or 2 tablespoon of the hamburger helper seasoning. Then broil that steak 4-6 minutes each side. For your side dises, cook the box of zatarains/jumbalaya as your rice..hehehe. If you feel like having green beans, drain it, melt butter in pan & add green beans. If not, you can have deviled eggs instead...mix yolk with mayo, mustard and top with cayenne pepper since you don't have paprika
