I substitute oil with applesauce when i make cakes or brownies..it keeps them really moist and delicious..you cant even taste it in there either

mayo... I replace mayo for all oil in cakes and cookie mixes

yeah they should...........if that happens again ot in a tablespoon of melted butter!!!

what kind of oil are we talking here?
if its canola or vegatable oil you can replace it with olive oil or peanut oil with a little different taste but uh need more details

the brownies just might not be as moist without the other half of the oil

o and shortening works well

No ive tried it b4 it wont

Prob not, and more likely to burn.

When you don't have enough of what the recipe calls for, there are things you can use to substitute in MANY cases.

In the case of oil - substitutions are butter, margerine - but you'd have to look online for the amounts to use as a substitute as 1/2 cup oil is not substituted with 1/2 cup of butter, it's probably less or more than the amount of oil the recipe is calling for.

Do you have any Baileys? You can add 1/4 to half cup of Baileys.

I did the same thing last night...I was about 2/3rds short of the oil...so I added a bit more water..no one noticed!
Hehehe...
Good luck!

i do the mayo thing too i replace oil with mayo, keeps it fresher longer more moist, ull like it better then oil believe me......

i think no

apple sauce
