How do I cook a ham?!
Answers: I'm really not a flake, but I've never cooked a ham, as my children and I don't consume pork. I've been nominated to cook Easter dinner and haven't got the slightest clue how to cook a ham! Please help guys!
HOW TO COOK A HAM
1. Soak ham overnight.
2. Scrub ham well.
3. Add 1 quart of cold water and bring to a boil at 500 degrees for 30 minutes (in oven).
4. Turn oven off for three hours.
5. Turn oven to 500 degrees and cook for 30 minutes more.
6. Turn oven off and leave ham stand overnight or until cool.
Note: Ham is done! "Decorate as you see fit."
In the oven.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place ham fat side up, in an open roasting pan and roast until brown and tender, about 1/2 hour longer than the package calls for. Remove ham from oven and increase oven temperature to 425 degrees. Cut the skin off ham, leaving 1/2 inch of fat.
Cut the skin off ham, leaving 1/2 inch of fat. Score the fat with a sharp knife in diagonal lines, running in opposite directions to make diamond pattern. Combine brandy, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, sugar and flour and rub well over ham.
Return to oven, roast 20 more minutes. With wooden toothpicks, attach to top and side a small bunch of grapes. Serve with mustard sauce.
Get a spiral cut ham. It's already cooked. You just follow the directions on the package label exactly, add the glaze at the end and you're good to go. It's really so simple. I have done it from fresh and it takes hours and hours. Whenever I have a large group over and we're making aham, I use the spiral cut and everyone is happy! Including me!
In reality your just heating it up. As most ham's are already cooked. Read the directions on the package.
so you may think this is crazy but believe me it really works...and it makes the ham SUPER moist....
first take your ham and lay it with the fatty side down in a big baking pan. Take half of a 2 liter coke and pour it over the ham...take a piece of aluminum foil and cover the pan completely. Check the instructions on the actual ham you buy in order to see cooking temperature and time....your ham will be a hit....good luck!

hope I helped.
I would recommend the spiral cut ham bc it's already cooked and so yummy. You can still do a glaze on the side if you like but this way you know the ham is cooked and just needs heated, major stress relief :)
fry it with some little oil
I put mine in a large soup pan with the lid on, in 2 to 3 inches of water and heat for about an hour. Keep your burner low on the stove and add more water if needed. This method steams in the ham flavor.
