Get a 2 lb Chuck Roast and cut it in half.
Place into crock pot
In a seperate bowl combine:
1 soup can - french onion
1 soup can - Beef Consomme
1 soup can - Beef Broth
Do not dilute the soups
1 tsp Beef Boullion Granules
Pour over Beef in crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove beef and shred with fork, return to crock pot to warm.
Serve on toasted italian or french rolls/buns. Au Jus on the side if desired.
Great with hot peppers!
spaghetti with meat sauce
salad with ranch dressing
garlic bread
then for dessert a nice chocolate snowball!
Go with pasta. It feeds a large crowd and its not hard to make
sloppy joe's and chips maybe a veggy tray, you don't need to make a fuss keep it simple--ugru
I can't stop sharing this recipe. It's a hit with adults and my 5 year old eats it like its going out of style. Chicken and Broccoli Pesto...
4 Chicken breasts, 1 inche cubes or slices
1 head broccoli, cut into small florets
1 lb Linguini or Long Egg Noodles ( I find the egg noodles hold more flavor and produce a dryer more concentrated taste, but its your preference)
1 Jar Pesto
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
2-3 Shallots, finely chopped.
Pine Nuts (roasted or plain)
1 TB olive oil (or oil of your preference)
Parmesan Cheese
Steam broccoli until just bright green. About 3-5 minutes. Set aside.
Heat pan to medium - medium high, add a little oil and lightly brown the garlic and shallots. Add chicken and cook until just about done. Set aside.
Boil salted water and cook pasta al dente. Drain it and add it to the chicken. (If you dont have a large enough skillet to do that, just put the pasta back in the boiler pot and add everything to that)
Heat over medium, toss to distribute garlic. Add broccoli and pine nuts. Add pesto sauce and toss. Let it cook up about 3-5 minutes so flavors can settle. Plate and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
I serve this dinner with ciabatta bread, toasted in the oven with garlic and parmesan. Enjoy!
This takes about 20-30 minutes, start to finish :)
You may want to double this, this feeds my family of 3 with a second or two.
Well, with my family we save "Friday night dinners" for Sunday. On sundays we have things like:
London Broil
Spaghetti
Roast Beef
Steak
But since its Easter Weekend, I doubt that you would want to cook meat.
If you don't want to cook, you can order Pizza, no meat, and it feeds a large crowd.
Make a spegetti bake
1 pkg penne pasta
1 lrg jar of your fav spegetti sauce
1lb ground beef
1 bag shredded cheddar
Fry your ground beef then drain oil.. Add spegetti sauce and simmer
Boil penne then drain
Mix the sauce and pasta together than put in a baking dish
Cover the top with cheddar cheese and bake at 350 until cheese is completely melted
Serve with salad and garlic bread...always a easy and delish favorite in my house
Ramen noodle mix up
7 pkg ramen chicken flavored
3 boneless skinless chicken breast chopped in bite sized pieces
olive oil
1 bag of frozen vegetable mix thawed
Fry your chicken breast in olive oil and one pack chicken seasoning until cooked through...add frozen veggies until warmed.
In a pot of boiling water boil the ramen noodles just until seperated then drain immediatly.
Stir in the chicken, veggies and olive oil in with the noodles and add another packet of chicken seasoning..
