Frozen lamb chops: it says to grill only but my grill is broken. Can I fry them or cook in oven?!
Answers: I always cook mine from frozen. I put them in the centre of the oven on gas 4/400F/230C turning them once and checking that they are cooked through properly.
The oven should be fine, just make sure they are thoroughly cooked before eating.
I know that you can boil corned beef. But I think we kept it in the fridge.
Cook thoroughly and you can fry or bake
Obviously you have to thoroughly defrost them first. Then put them in a pre heated oven at around 180 (you do not need to add any fat - I like to season mine with black pepper) - My oven is very fierce and I find mine are cooked within half hour.
Bon Appetite!!
You can cook them in the oven.
I usually broil defrosted lamb chops on high for about 10 minutes on each side.
I rather cook them in the oven til they get that crispy and cooked look.
Sure you can.
I love oven baked lamb chops.
Pan fry them if you like....
That's good too,
Now the "grill only" refers to the opposite of "boiling" them.
Either, no problem. Bake them on a rack in the oven, perhaps spray with a bit of olive oil to stop them drying out. The effect won't be far different to broiling.
