Do you prefer chunky apple pies or pies with pureed apples?!


Question: Lol everyone is saying chunky Id go with pureed because then it doesn't take away from the pie crust and I have an obsession with pie crust <3 but hey either one is good with me Rai-Rai LOVES apple pie

Chunky -- real pieces with bits of cinnamon mixed throughout. But ONLY if it's warm, and with lots of ice cream.

Oh definately chunky, there's nothing like biting into a freshed baked apple pie with chunks! The pureed is just apple sauce ; )

It has to be chunky! But you should still take the raw edge off the fruit at some point. I usually go for 2cm dice and sautee it in some butter and cinnamon prior to baking. This softens the edges and gets things on their way before the oven.
