I was trying to bake cinnamon bread but i guess the water i added to the yeast is too hot?!

Question: i read about it and i guess the yeast got killed with the hot water...is there a way i can fix the dough?because at this point it hasn't risen at all...

can i add another batch of yeast and knead the dough again?

You may have to start over. Yes, you have killed the yeast, hot water kills it. If you add more yeast it will have a really gross flavour to it. If you were only baking the bread for taste and not for presentation, keep it as is, the worst thing that will happen is that your bread won't rise.

Good luck and Happy bread baking!

Sorry to say this but throw it out and start over.

I am a pastry chef and your bread is toast.--maybe not-- you get my drift.

Make sure to use just slightly warm water. Even cold water will work but never hot water.

Check the used by date on the yeast it can go off but the water is only luke warm do not add to flour until it froths up takes about 15 minutes sometimes
Just start again what is a little flour

just start over and good luck :)
next time mix yeast with slightly warm water or milk.

Throw it out and start over. Test your liquids to make sure they are just nice and warm, not hot.
