Marinara & Alfredo Lasagna??!
Answers: I have an idea of making a traditional lasagna with a twist. I want to have the primary sauce to be a tomato sauce with a layer of alfredo sauce. Does this sound good? Any suggestions to make it perfect? I want it to be spicy (I'm using ground beef with spicy sausage) yet creamy.
Oh yes, it's absolutely FANTASTIC, you're gonna love this! For that extra "love" I applaude your idea of adding some spicy sausage, you could also sprinkle some Crushed Red Pepper Flakes on top of your Alfredo sauce in your layering. You might want to tighten up your cheese mixture though with some extra mozzarella and parmesan cheeses because with the addition of your Alfredo, you've now added another level of juiciness that you don't want falling out from your layers when cutting into it. Good Luck, I know you'll be a huge fan once you've tried this "Pink Sauce Lasagna" !!!!!!!!!!
This works out very well. I make it like this all the time. I add some more cheese to the mix, so that it isn't too runny.
Make sure you let the lasagna sit and cool so that it doesn't fall apart.
Happy cooking.
Sounds good to me! When I get a combo dish at an Italian restaurant, I love to get a white and red sauce, and kind of mix them together where they touch. Mmm!
My lasagna usually has 3 repeated layers. Maybe make one alfredo, middle one tomato, then top one alredo.
Great !!
I Love this idea of flavor
mixing !!
I have even made a cheddar / sausage
Lasagna with cottage cheese to replace
the ricotta !!
I have also tried the Alfredo sauce and it
was Out of this World GOOD !!
