Can you tell me a low-fat lasagna recipe..?!
Ooey Gooey Low Fat Lasagnia
Half an onion, diced.
Two cloves of garlic, minced.
One pound of lean ground turkey.
One jar of low sodium marinara sauce.
Two cups of part skim mozarella cheese.
9 lasagnia sheets (though throw in ten, in case one breaks)
One cup of fat free milk
One tablespoons of Smart Balance margarine
Two tablespoons of flour
Take a frying pan! Small splash of olive oil, get it hot, throw in your onions until soft, add your garlic for a minute. Put in all your ground turkey, cook until it all turns a brown, put your marinara sauce in and stir until it just starts to boil. Take it off the heat. Salt and pepper to taste.
In a sauce pan, melt your margarine. Put in your flour and mix with a whisk. Once it's all combined, add your milk. Whisk over low-medium heat until it starts to boil: do not cheat and turn up the heat! It will take a little while but it's worth it. Once it starts boiling take off the heat; it'll thicken pretty quickly.
Boil the pasta sheets until al dente, then drain. In a regular casserole dish, put three sheets of lasanga, smear on a little of the meat sauce (try to measure our enough for three layers) then dribble on some white sauce, and now a handfull of cheese. Put more pasta and repeat until you have three layers. Cover is in aluminum foil and cook at 350 for half an hour, then take off the foil and cook for another fifteen minutes. Why is it called ooey gooey? Just wait until you cut into it.
Now I know there are going to be people telling you to use vegetable instead of turkey or something horrible instead of cheese; while this may be lower fat, it's has even lower flavor. My recipe is low fat, healthy, and very, very good. Have a moderate portion with a salad and it's a healthy meal!
EDIT:
The first recipe on here, the one that calls for the ground beef and pork and Italian sausage and three types of cheese, will give you a heart attack. Skip it!

Next slice the cloves of garlic crosswise into either halves or thirds or pieces, and add them into the pot.

Make a regular recipe, but do NOT include meat of any type, and use low-fat cheeses instead of what's called for.
