If my coffee cake is cooled, then found to be under done in the middle, can I put it back in the oven?!


Question: well not knowing exactly what you mean.. if its the middle layer, i'd slice it all the way through and cut away the gooey part and just ice it layer it and go from there..
if its like a bundt cake. id carve out the center. fill with fruit cocktail salad, and whipped cream, decorate with more fruit and go from there...

i think its supposed to be a bit underdone...you could put it back but risk overdrying the cake

i want some :)

** I probably wouldn't. It still sounds nice though

once the cake is cooled it canot return to the oven as the cooking process in the cake has stopped and all fats gluten and starches are set. follow the recipe and be aware of your equipment, the tin and the oven.
