The pastel color (either yellow, pink or green) is perfect for Easter and Spring

Bake a plain yellow cake and when it is cooled use a fork and poke lots and lots of holes in the top of the cake. make jello and pour over the cake. refrigerate till the jello congeals and then before you serve cover the cake with Cool Whip. It is a very delicious moist cake

Here is an old recipe that my family loves...

Ingredients:
1 box of pistachio pudding mix (depending on size family)
1 can of crushed pineapple
1 1/2 bowls of cool whip

Mix Pistachio pudding mix with tubs of cool whip and add a can of crushed pineapple.

It is so good and is a light green whipped dessert, which is great in color for easter. This may be the first dessert that I have ever had that is so filling to the belly!!!

We sometimes decorate it with jelly beans, but alot of people in our family dont like jelly beans.

2 cans pineapple chunks, drained
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
2 jars maraschino, drained
1 can coconut flakes
1/2 bag mini marshmallows
4 oz. sour cream
16 oz. Cool Whip

Combine sour cream and Cool Whip. Fold in all other ingredients. Chill covered for at least 2 hours.

2 tablespoons butter, softened

In a bowl, combine first four ingredients. Combine flour and baking powder; add to egg mixture and blend well.
Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Combine pie fillings, lemon juice and vanilla; spoon over batter.
For topping, combine all ingredients; sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and cake tests done. If necessary, cover edges with foil to prevent over-browning.
