Has the rise in food prices, oil, gasoline etc. . . altered the way you spend money?!
Answers: Do you find you eat at home more than go out. Omit a vacation where travel is envolved? Whatever. . . how is it affecting you?
Yes it has. It cost me almost $400.00 a month is gas to go back and forth to work. Luckily, it's just me and the wife living at home, so we don't have to buy a lot of food. Can't afford anything else after the bills get paid.
Not really. We go out to eat once a week on a regular basis to the same restaurant. Anything extra is a "husband date". I still spend the extra money on organic and whole foods. I would prefer to drive less and make food from scratch than to poison my family with all the sodium, MSG, and fat in prepared foods.
I don't go shopping much anymore (for clothes and fun stuff). We still go out to eat, but I definately watch a little more closelly what i'm spending my money on.
We have not be affected yet. But yesterday we were talking about what we will need to cut out of our grocery list such as chips, sodas, cookies, Ritz crackers, paper towels (use rags instead), cleaning solutions we really do not need to use in the first place, air fresheners, and etc.
And other foods we should not be eating. This will save us LOTS of money.
Yes, i do everything less now.Drive less, eat out less!
I don't travel other than what is necessary, work, errands. I combine trips..The only way I can economize more on gas is to sell my car..
Absolutley we used to eat out more than we ate at home now we eat out once or twice a month. I make bigger portions so we can freeze left overs for lunches so we don't have to eat sandwiches everyday and get bored.
